The 44th annual Lynn Woods Summer Cross Country Race Series held its second installment for this season at the Great Woods entrance on Wednesday.In the 2.92-mile Reservoir race, John Ayers of Beverly won in 17:00, followed by Janos Mako of North Andover (19:12) and Annie Pugh of Manchester (19:41). The top Lynn finishers were: male, Jack Simpson, 20:51, seventh; and female, Nurian Garcia, 24:44, 25th.In the 5.72 Gate to Pennybrook Gate race, Chris Smith of Woburn won in 34:50, followed by Steven Trainor of Salem in 35:52 and Jim Pawlicki of Lynn in 36:44. The top Lynn female finisher was Lisa Colgan, 47:05, 48th.In the junior high race (1.59 miles), 11-year-old Finn Lacy of Salem won in 11:08, followed by Matthew Brown, 9, of Nahant (11:12) and Mia Nikolakopoulos, 12, of Lynn (11:38).
