LYNN – A judge ordered a Malden man held without bail on charges including child rape after police said the man admitted to having sex with an underage and intellectually disabled family friend.Andie D. Jean, 23, of 33 Baker St., Malden, was arrested and charged with rape of a child with force; and indecent assault and battery on a person with an intellectual disability; on Sunday.He was arraigned on the charges in Lynn District Court Monday where a plea of not guilty was entered on his behalf.A relative of the alleged victim told police he and Jean were hanging out when the relative went to speak with friends, leaving Jean on the porch of his relative’s family home, according to a police report by Saugus Police Detective James Donovan.The relative told police he later went inside the family house and found Jean in the alleged victim’s bedroom. She was wearing only a bra and Jean was hiding in the closet, pulling up his pants, according to police.”(The family member) said he asked what was going on and Jean stated ?my bad,'” Donovan reported.The alleged victim – whom relatives said is a teenager but has the intellectual capability of a 6- or 7-year-old – told police Jean came into her bedroom, told her to take her clothes off, then had sex with her, according to police.Jean said the alleged victim tried to hug him repeatedly and they “ended up on the floor,” according to the police report. Police said Jean confirmed the witness’ and alleged victim’s stories in a taped statement.Assistant District Attorney Doug Sheehan requested Jean be held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing at a later date, as the Commonwealth needed to review the alleged confession.Court appointed Defense Attorney Mary Mahoney requested Jean be held without prejudice, allowing the public defender’s office to argue bail at the dangerousness hearing.Judge James LaMothe ordered Jean held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for Sept. 17.
