LYNN – Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett’s office has confirmed a suspect is in custody and expected to be arraigned today in connection with a fatal stabbing in Lynn Tuesday night.
The suspect, identified by police as Shane Dennis, 39, of 41 Cowdrey Ave., was to be arraigned today in Lynn District Court on a charge of murder, according to Carrie Kimball-Monahan, a spokeswoman for the district attorney.The victim was described as a 46-year-old male, but his name has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
Police received a 911 call at approximately 8:46 p.m. Tuesday, and the victim was taken to Salem Hospital where he died of his injuries.
Both suspect and defendant are believed to be from Lynn.The Daily Item staff is working on this developing story and will post more information as it becomes available.
