LYNN – Authorities pulled the body of a middle-aged white male from the beach Tuesday afternoon but said the circumstances of the death do not appear suspicious.”I was just walking down here and saw something but couldn’t tell what it was,” said city resident Mario DeArco. “Then I saw what looked like feet and saw white sneakers.”DeArco said he was walking by the beach by the Nahant Rotary at about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday when he noticed what police later confirmed was a body. DeArco said he ran across the street to flag down a state trooper by Christie’s Restaurant and then flagged down a Lynn Police officer who also responded to the scene. DeArco said the body was at the edge of the shore about 100 to 150 feet from the seawall.A spokesperson from Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett’s office said the body was that of a middle-aged white male and the death did not appear suspicious. The body was transported from the scene to the office of the chief medical examiner for an autopsy at approximately 4 p.m.The spokesperson said the office would release the name of the deceased pending notification of his family.
