REVERE – Revere Police said three people, two of whom were bystanders, were shot in two separate incidents within 24 hours outside local bars this weekend.”The incidents appear to be unrelated ? we’ve deployed detectives and both (incidents) are actively under investigation,” Revere Police Lt. Amy O’Hara said Sunday. The first shooting occurred at approximately 2 a.m. Saturday outside of The Boulevard Bar and Grill on Revere Beach Boulevard. O’Hara said that shots were fired after a physical fight broke out on the sidewalk outside the club. A press release from Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley’s office identified the alleged victims as a 33-year-old man and 36-year-old woman.”The preliminary investigation does not suggest that the shooting victims were part of the initial altercation,” Conley said. One victim was shot in the stomach, the other in the foot, O’Hara reported. Both were taken to Massachusetts General Hospital and are expected to survive.Revere and State Police are seeking video footage of the incident from businesses and individuals. Any person with information is asked to contact the Suffolk County State Police Detective Unit at 617-727-8817 or Revere Police detectives at 781-286-8340.The second shooting happened at approximately 9:30 p.m. Saturday outside of Las Vegas Bar on Shirley Avenue, according to police. Again, police believe a fight outside of the bar led to shots fired, and a 30-year-old man was struck in the chest. The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, O’Hara reported.Police said no suspects have been identified as of Sunday in either incident and no arrests have been made. Both incidents remain under investigation.
