LYNN – Police Friday charged a Sheridan Street woman with trying to burn her house down following a fight with her boyfriend.Somaly Yet, 32, of 48 Sheridan St., pleaded not guilty in Lynn District Court to arson of a dwelling and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and was ordered held without bail by Judge James Lamothe pending a dangerousness hearing in court next Tuesday.Firefighters found heavy smoke conditions when they converged on the small, two-story house set back from the street shortly before 11 a.m. District Fire Chief Timothy Collier said firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and arriving police officers spoke with 48 Sheridan St. resident Joel Gonzalez, who told officers Yet started the fire after the pair argued about their relationship.?Gonzalez stated that he observed Yet with a gallon-milk container filled with gasoline. Yet began to spread the gasoline throughout the living room and the front steps of the house.
