The Lynnfield boys? lacrosse team started the season off right with a solid 12-4 victory in Revere Friday morning.
It was an especially satisfying win for Pioneers? coach Joe Papagni considering the practice conditions so far this spring.
?It?s been tough being stuck in the parking lot,” Papagni said, referring to the use of the Lynnfield High parking lot as a practice field because of the snow and ice. “Thankfully, we got off to a good start today.”
Jon Knee (four goals, one assist) and Patrick Garrity (two goals, three assists) led Lynnfield with five points each. Chad Martin scored three goals and had one assist, while Jake Forgione had one goal and three assists. Ryan Frasier and Michael Look each added a goal in the win. Alex Soden recorded two assists.
?Everyone got to play today and we did well,” Papagni said. “This is as good as we could have hoped for today.”Mike Alongi can be reached at [email protected]. Follow him on Twitter at @m_alongi.
