Brian Flynn shared holiday greetings Friday as part of the Massachusetts Communities Action Network’s celebration of Easter and Passover and the message of peace that lies at the heart of both religious observances.Silverman, a Gloucester resident, works in Lynn and Flynn is pastor at St. Mary’s Church in Lynn. MCAN is a federation of faith-based organizations working for economic and social justice.70 years strongAbraham and Frances Babbitt celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with family at Turner’s Seafood at Lyceum Hall in Salem. They were married on March 18, 1945 at Congregation Anshai Sfard Synagogue by Rabbi Herman Bick while Abraham was home on leave from the U.S. Army Air Corps serving in Alaska.Abraham proudly worked for General Electric his entire career. He and Frances have enjoyed a wonderful life and retirement together, and to this day are still holding hands. They are members of the Jewish Community Center in Marblehead and Congregation Shirat Hayam in Swampscott. Celebrating with them were their son Edward Babbitt and his wife Ellen Kayser of Swampscott, their daughter Ann Pendexter and her husband Charles of Lynn, their daughter Roberta Babbitt and her husband William McGeehan of Alexandria, Va., their son Steven Babbitt of Long Beach, N.Y., their daughter Susan Michaud and her husband Scott of Lynn, their grandchildren Daniel Babbitt of Reading and Casey Babbitt of Washington, D.C., and their niece Judith Keown of Burlington.
