REVERE – Revere Police arrested three people and called in out-of-town officers’ assistance to control a crowd disturbance Thursday night at a carnival in the Showcase Cinema parking lot.Police Lt. Amy O’Hara said the disturbance began at about 10:45 p.m. while approximately 2,000 people were attending the carnival. She said people in the crowd ignored police orders to disperse shortly before the carnival was scheduled to close. Revere officers called for help from State Police and Chelsea, Everett, Malden and Winthrop police departments.”There were concerns by officers that the crowd would overcome them,” O’Hara said.Sinia Espino, 18, of 151 Lawton Ave., Lynn, was arrested and charged with assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.A 17-year-old male was arrested and charged with inciting a riot, failure to disperse and disorderly conduct and a 16-year-old was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace, assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
