Lynn Classical (9-1) qualified for the state tournament on Monday with a 5-0 home victory over Gloucester. Anna Athanasopoulos won first singles, 6-1, 6-1, Meredith MacDonald won second singles, 6-2, 6-0, and Kayla O?Brien won the third singles? match, 7-5, 6-2.
The first doubles? pair of Shea Dunnigan and Briana Silva fought hard for the win, 7-5, 6-3. Classical coach Cathy Ellis switched things up for the second doubles? match, pairing regular Ashley Noel with Lizzie Troisi, who was seeing her first varsity action. The two did well together, winning their match, 6-1, 6-3.
?Making the tournament was one of the first goals we set for this year,” said Ellis. “I?m really excited that we were able to reach that goal so early in the season.”

The lone win for the Spartans (5-8) came in doubles? play. The duo of Adelina Katzounos and Haleigh King won their match, 8-3.
Swampscott 5, Revere 0
The Big Blue (7-2) earned the sweep at Revere (1-10). Anna Raptunovich, Vivien Gere and Veronica Pyatigorskaya each won their singles matches by a score of 6-0, 6-0.
The two doubles? pairs of Juliette Albo and Sara Cunningham and Michelle Schneider and Maeve Austin also won their matches by identical scores of 6-0, 6-0.
Marblehead 5, Beverly 0
The wind in Beverly was a challenge, but Marblehead (7-2) stayed patient and handled it well. Kelly Mealey and Megan Ryan won the first two singles? matches, each by a score of 6-2, 6-0. Julia Channing rounded out the singles? play with a 6-0, 6-0 win in the third match.
In doubles play, the first team of Hannah Cohen and Meagan Hanratty won their match 6-4, 6-3. Sammi Gilberg and Lily Frontero won the second match, 6-2, 6-2.
?All the singles played really strong today,” said Marblehead coach Cathy Castoldi. “The wind was really a factor today, and everyone did a good job staying patient.”
Lynnfield 4, Pentucket 1
The Pioneers (10-0) notched their 31st consecutive win. Sarah Mezini won the first singles? match, 6-3, 7-5. Kelly Nevils took the second match, 6-3, 6-2, and Izzy Figucia won third singles, 6-1, 6-3.
Lynnfield also grabbed a win in doubles? play. The team of Katie Nevils and Olivia Skelley won the first doubles? match, 6-1, 6-0.

The Crusaders (7-3) swept the doubleheader on the road. Fenwick rolled out the same lineup for both matches. Kerry Kircher won first singles? in both matches by scores of 8-4 and 8-3. Jamie Towns won both second singles? matches, 8-3 and 8-1, while Jenna DeFrancesco won the two third singles? matches. 8-0 and 8-0.
