Complaints
A report of an unknown white substance at 12:26 a.m. Tuesday on Village Street. An animal control officer reported that someone she knows had dropped off a white substance to her that they found. The small baggie was reportedly found in the 7-Eleven parking lot.
A caller complained because there was a car parked in the middle of the street and he almost hit a pedestrian as a result at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday on Cypress Street.
A caller reported a hanger was a hazard at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday on Pond Street. A caller reported a large tree had split and one half was laying on a stone wall and the other was hanging on the wires. He was concerned because kids were going to be trick or treating that night and if they walked under the limb, it might have fallen and injured someone. He wanted yellow police caution tape to keep people away. Police reported the tree was on private property and was hanging over an area where kids shouldn’t be walking.
A caller reported at 5 p.m. Tuesday on Pickett Street that her team had their first playoff game the following day, and keeping with tradition, the juniors were going to be “decorating” the houses of the seniors Tuesday night. The team wanted to inform the police so they didn’t get into trouble.
A report of suspicious activity at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday on Arlyn Road. A caller reported two teenagers trick or treated and they were not wearing any costumes and were wearing backpacks. He thought it was suspicious.
A report of a disturbance at 7:51 p.m. Tuesday on Gerald Road. A woman reported she was home alone and someone kept banging on her door. Police told her that it was Halloween, but she was concerned because it was loud banging and it didn’t sound like young kids. Police checked the area and reported everything was in order; at 2:21 a.m. Wednesday on Stramski Way.
Fire
A report of an outside fire at the beach at 7:38 p.m. Tuesday on Greystone Road. Police reported it was a campfire that didn’t need to be put out.
Overdose
A report of an opioid overdose at 7:55 p.m. Tuesday on Constitution Way. The woman was taken to the hospital; at 11 p.m. Tuesday on Briar Lane. A possible heroin overdose was reported. The man was taken to Salem Hospital.

Cesar Alicea Alberto-Ruiz, 22, of 56 Broadway, Apt. 56, Chelsea, was arrested and charged with carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and defacing a firearm serial number at 10:28 a.m. Tuesday.
Clemento Armando Espinoza, 50, of 651 Beach St., Apt. 1, was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, giving a false name to a police officer, contributing to the delinquency of a child, uttering counterfeit bills and arrestee furnishing a false name/social security number at 8:27 p.m. Tuesday.
Christian CJ Fauntleroy, 21, of 195 Forest Hill St., Apt. 1, Jamaica Plain, was arrested and charged with assault and battery at 7:38 p.m. Monday.
Santiago Gonzalez-Patino, 44, of 30 Dana St., was arrested and charged with operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended or revoked registration at 5:34 p.m. Monday.
Kevin Medina-Meza, 24, of 53 Walnut St., Everett, was arrested and charged with shoplifting by asportation at 5:53 p.m. Tuesday.
Andres G. Perez, 25, of 286 Fenno St., Apt. 10, was arrested and charged with operating after a revoked license or right to operate, Class A drug possession to distribute and Class B drug possession to distribute at 10:28 a.m. Tuesday.
