He said $500 worth of cologne and headphones were stolen; at 28 Endicott St. at 8:24 p.m. Sunday. A caller reported someone tried to break into his vehicle and took off in a small Mazda.

A report of a suspicious motor vehicle at Square One Mall at 1201 Broadway at 4:53 p.m. Sunday. A caller reported three men inside a black Honda Accord possibly involved in drug activity. The vehicle left prior to police arrival.
A report of suspicious activity at Wood Spring Suites Signature at 832 Broadway at 9:50 p.m. Sunday. A caller reported he was robbed by a man in the parking lot — police were told about the call by Essex Regional. Police were unable to locate a victim.
Theft
A report of an armed robbery at Amato’s Liquors at 206 Lincoln Ave. at 2:24 p.m. Saturday. A caller reported a man attempted to rob his store. The man threatened him with syringes and demanded $100. He further reported handing the suspect $100 and then striking him on the head with a stick. He said the man left on foot toward Kane’s Donuts. The man was stopped by police on Ballard and Spencer — he was found with $100 and a syringe and arrested. Barre R. Hurley, 28, was arrested; at Lincoln Avenue Market at 84 Lincoln Ave. at 9:26 a.m. Sunday. A caller reported his store was robbed a few days ago by a man with a syringe who took $100. He said the employee was too scared to call police at the time.
