SWAMPSCOTT — For the Love of Swampscott is hosting a baseball-themed family night at the North Shore Navigators game on Friday night.
Family Night begins at 6 at Fraser Field, where the North Shore Navigators will take on the Martha’s Vineyard Sharks. Robert Jauron, author of “Big Blue Days,” will throw out the first pitch at 6:30 p.m.
Open to Swampscott families and geared toward children 6 and up, the event expands on last year’s successful mother/son night. The $20 ticket price includes a pre-game tailgate party, keepsake photo, themed goody bag, on-field activities, pizza, beverages and fireworks.
“We look forward to hosting this great event as a way for families to enjoy some time together as they cheer on the Navigators,” said For the Love of Swampscott, a local nonprofit, in a statement.
Parking is free and carpooling is recommended. Tickets are available at www.fortheloveofswampscott.org.
