REVERE — Police are investigating after a 33-year-old man was shot Tuesday morning on Campbell Avenue.
Revere Police responded to a 911 call reporting an injured person in the area of 104 Campbell Ave. Inside the residence, they found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital for emergency surgery.
Because of the seriousness of the injury, the Suffolk County State Police Detective Unit also responded to the scene at about 2:15 a.m. with the State Police Crime Scene Services Section and other specialized units to assist in the investigation.
Revere and State police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact either Revere Police at 781-286-8340 or State Police at 617-727-8817. They are looking for any observations of people, vehicles, or activity in the area of Campbell Avenue at around 2 a.m. Tuesday. No piece of information is too small to share, investigators said.
