PEABODY — For the ninth year in a row, North Shore Bank will be the signature sponsor for Citizens Inn’s largest annual fundraiser.

Citizens Inn, now merged with Haven from Hunger, has served families and individuals experiencing a housing crisis or food insecurity for more than 35 years. Through its work, it not only provides a safe place to stay and a meal on the table, but offers tools to empower families and individuals to find permanent solutions to break the patterns of instability in their lives.

“North Shore Bank continually supports the work we do for families in our community both financially and with a hands-on approach on our Board of Directors,” said Corey Jackson, executive director of Citizens Inn. “They recognize the importance of affordable housing options on the North Shore and are always there to help.”

The Citizens Inn Gala, to be held at the Danversport Yacht Club Oct. 26, will be hosted by Randy Price from WCVB-TV’s “The Eyeopener” and will include live music, a live and silent auction, food and dancing throughout the evening.

The event is attended by 300 of the North Shore’s most charitable patrons, including several local business leaders and politicians. North Shore Bank is joined by generous business and individual sponsors from all over Massachusetts.

“North Shore Bank is pleased to once again be involved with this wonderful event and its aim to help those who have become or are at risk of becoming homeless,” said the bank’s president and CEO, Kevin Tierney Sr. “We are happy to see other area companies joining us in this fight to end the cycle of homelessness.”

North Shore Bank, established in 1888, is a full-service community bank operating out of 12 area offices located in Peabody, Beverly, Danvers, Merrimac, Middleton, Salem, Saugus, and Newton, N.H.

For more information regarding corporate sponsorship of the Citizens Inn Gala, or to make a donation to Citizens Inn, please contact executive director Corey Jackson at (978) 531-9775, ext. 15, or e-mail [email protected].
