Complaints
A caller reported a postal employee who drove recklessly through the parking lot on Smith Street while parents were dropping off their children at 7:57 a.m. on Tuesday. The caller stated the employee was frustrated because the parents dropping off their children had blocked off the lot. The dispatcher informed the caller the lot is Post Office property and not meant for parents to be dropping off their children.
A caller asked the dispatcher where to early vote and wondered if Tuesday was the last day to early vote. She was directed to Abbot Hall.
A caller at 3:18 p.m. on Tuesday reported her daughter was being bullied at school and she wanted to file a report. She stated the principal reached out to her and said the incident has been going on for the past three weeks. She called back at 4:12 p.m. and stated she spoke with the principal and the situation has been resolved in an appropriate manner and she no longer wants to file a report at this time.
A caller reported at 3:35 p.m. on Tuesday that someone has been trying to break in to her apartment on Broughton Road during the night time. She stated she found the back door pried. Responding officers found reported the scene clear upon arrival.
A caller reported her bank accounts were hacked at 5:21 p.m. on Tuesday. She stated she went to the bank to close all her accounts and open new ones.
A caller reported at 5:49 p.m. on Tuesday that he was concerned about the new sign at the high school, near Pleasant and Humphrey streets. He stated it does not specifically state the hours that you can’t turn right on red as it only says “during school hours.” He stated his concern was regarding if events are going on there, can someone turn right on red. The dispatcher stated their opinion was a driver can legally turn right on red at 2:31 p.m. because it is after school hours.
A caller reported an erratic operator at Atlantic Avenue and Drumlin Road at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. They stated the driver crossed the yellow line at least 10 times and almost hit a pole.
A caller reported a transformer blew up on Gregory Street at 7:36 p.m. on Tuesday. There was no power out in the area but there were sparks flying out of the transformer. Responding officers found that some wires were burnt through and they requested assistance from Electric Light.
A caller reported she returned home and found music playing and her front door open on Gregory Street at 12:05 a.m. on Wednesday. She stated she wanted an officer to walk through but she also thought it could have been from her Alexa device. Responding officers arrived and cleared the scene.

A report of a coyote walking around town at 8:19 a.m. Sunday. Police told the caller that wildlife is allowed to do that.
A report of a large boat washed ashore at the DCR Bath House on the Causeway at 8:26 a.m. Sunday. Police contacted the boat owner and he responded. Nobody was onboard the vessel.
A caller reported five buoys, shackles, and related lines for a mooring were left on the beach on Willow Road at 6:11 p.m. Sunday.
A report of low hanging wires across Nahant Road by the Seaside Pizza on Nahant Road at 12:29 p.m. Monday.
A caller reported she had been bitten by a dog at Tower School at 11:31 a.m. Tuesday.
A report of a possible drug transaction on Goddard Drive at 10:12 p.m. Tuesday. A caller stated she was in her yard looking out and could see an older black sedan parked on Goddard. A black truck pulled up to the car and sat alongside it for several minutes.
Fire
A caller reported smelling and seeing smoke coming from the basement level of a home on Nahant Road at 3:20 a.m. Wednesday. No fire alarms were sounding at the time. Police reported locating an apartment with a smoke condition and a single female occupant. Police gained entry to the apartment and determined the source of the smoke was food on the stove.

Joseph Ladish, 39, of 14 San Jose Terrace, Stoneham, was summoned to court following traffic stop on Wednesday at 10:04 a.m. at 596 Lowell St. and 2 Johnson St. for operating an unregistered, uninsured motor vehicle with a suspended license, and attaching plates. The vehicle was towed by Gaeta’s Towing.
