LYNN — Arts After Hours, Lynn’s community theater, hosts its second annual adult spelling bee at Old Tyme Italian Cuisine, 612 Boston St., June 6 at 7 p.m.
Community leaders will judge and host the event, where individuals and teams can compete to win a variety of prizes donated by local businesses. Proceeds will fund scholarships for the 2019 Summer Youth Theatre Intensive program, July 22-26, at the Neal Rantoul Black Box Theater on Exchange Street. Cost to participate as an individual, duo, or trio is $20 per person.
Cost for pre-registered teams of four is $75 per team.
Audience tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door.

The next production for Arts After Hours, now in its ninth season, will be “Assassins,” written by John Weidman and Stephen Sondheim. Nathan Fogg DeSisto will direct and Shawn Gelzleichter will be music director. Performances are June 14-23.
