It’s been a memorable week for Revere senior attacker Kiana Napolitano, who scored her 500th career point Thursday and was named Most Valuable Player of the Northeastern Conference South when the league announced its award winners for the 2019 season this week. Napolitano and the Patriots were well-represented, landing three all-conference selection and two all-star selections.
Marblehead senior midfielder Grace Arthur was named MVP of the NEC North. The Magicians earned three all-conference selections and three all-star selections.
Winthrop’s Ben Cimmino (South) and Swampscott’s Al Eaton (North) were named the coaches of the year. Eaton coached the Big Blue to a 14-2 regular season, including a nine-game win streak to close out the 2019 campaign.
Sportsmanship awards went to the Saugus Sachems (South) and the Medford Mustangs (North).
The North all-conference team includes Marblehead’s Arthur, Lydia Bongiorno and Maddie Erskine; Swampscott’s Harper Clopton, Emerson Laundry and Nikki Rosa; Peabody’s Colleen Crotty, Olivia Kiricoples and Hailee Lomasney; Danvers’ Ashley Curcuru; Beverly’s Brooke Baekey and Sabrina Beaudry.
The South all-conference team includes Revere’s Napolitano, Taylor Sujko and Jenna Wells; Winthrop’s Emma Carleton and Maura Dorr; Saugus’ Alivia Burke; Gloucester’s Julia Kuhns, Ruby Melvin and Caroline O’Leary, Salem’s Madison White; Malden’s Kaitlyn Mini, Ana Oliveira and Francesa Reyes.
The North all-stars include Marblehead’s Sara Campbell, Brigette Gable and Amanda Schillinger; Swampscott’s Grace DiGrande and Jackie Frisoli; Peabody’s Olivia Lavalle and Catherine Manning; Danvers’ Grace Leete; Medford’s Jenna Sullivan; Beverly’s Rachel Mullins and Olivia Salah.
The South all-stars include Revere’s Kamila Calle and Lily Dellolacono; Gloucester’s Lillie Favazza, Caroline Muniz and Madison Vittands; Winthrop’s Carolyn Kinsella and Mia Martucci; Salem’s Marie McCarthy and Stella Rowley; Malden’s Angelena Nguyen; Saugus’ Jana Morgante.
The Revere Patriots (12-8) were champions of the NEC South. The Marblehead Magicians (13-5) were champions of the NEC North.
