PEABODY — A liquid asphalt truck rolled over on the ramp from Route 128 to I-95 North in Peabody Sunday afternoon, shutting down traffic.
The Massachusetts State Police said the driver was not injured, but thousands of gallons of sealcoat spilled across the road.
As a result, the ramp at Exit 45 was closed at 4 p.m. It is expected to reopen in time for the morning commute.
Police said the hazardous materials team from the Peabody Fire Department is overseeing the cleanup.
