A lot has been said, for good reason, about the heroes working in our medical facilities during this Covid-19 crisis. There is another group of heroes reporting for duty everyday as well: food workers.  

They show up every day to keep food in our supply chain, ever vigilant to protect themselves and the public whom they are feeding. Many of these people live and work in Lynn and the surrounding areas. Experts say that we are only three days of missed meals away from anarchy. While hospital workers are heroically battling the current crisis, food workers, the unsung heroes, are busy preventing another one. 

Please remember to say “thank you” when you see them — or perhaps, when saying grace over your next meal.
