Lynn reported a double-digit surge in new coronavirus cases on Friday, and new cases were also seen in Peabody and Revere.
With 26 new cases reported, Lynn now has 4,719 cases. Of that total, 586 cases are active, 117 people have died and 4,016 have recovered from the virus, according to city data.
In Peabody, four new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 1,254. A total of 181 people have died and 971 have recovered, according to the health department.
Four new cases were also reported in Revere. The city now has 2,524 cases and 99 people have died, according to the city website.
Numbers remained the same in Lynnfield (127 cases, 11 deaths) and Nahant (52 cases, six deaths) and were not updated in Marblehead, Saugus or Swampscott.
As of Wednesday, Marblehead had 264 cases and 30 deaths, Saugus had 666 cases and 41 deaths, and Swampscott had 262 cases and 11 deaths.
