LYNN — A 40-year-old Lynn man has died after falling six stories from a Liberty Square building near the North Shore Community College campus Tuesday evening. 

Lynn Police, Fire and EMS arrived on the scene shortly after 5:30 p.m. and found that a man had sustained life-threatening injuries in the fall. The man was taken to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead, Lynn Police Lt. Rick Donnelly said. 

The cause of the fall remains under investigation.
