New virus cases, death reported in Peabody

New coronavirus cases were reported Friday in Lynn, Marblehead, Peabody and Revere. 

In Lynn, 11 new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 17,650. The death toll is 216, 41 percent of the city’s population has been fully vaccinated and 51 percent of residents have received their first dose, according to city data. 

Two new cases have been reported in Marblehead (1,338 cases, 31 deaths) over the past seven days, two new cases and an additional death were reported in Peabody (7,256 cases, 322 deaths), and four new cases were reported in Revere (10,977 cases, 163 deaths). 

No change was reported in Lynnfield (1,209 cases, 29 deaths), Nahant (253 cases, nine deaths), and Salem (4,765 cases, 81 deaths), and numbers were not updated in Saugus or Swampscott. 

As of May 10, Swampscott had 1,161 cases and 19 deaths, and new numbers have not been provided in Saugus (4,129 cases, 72 deaths) since April 29.
