Despite trailing 6-2 in the top of the fifth inning Thursday afternoon, the Lynn Tech baseball team was able to rally back with five unanswered runs over the next two innings to pull out a come-from-behind 7-6 win over Nashoba Tech at Fraser Field.
“The guys really showed that they can overcome adversity and finish strong,” said Tech coach Eddie Lewis. “It was a total team effort and I couldn’t be more proud of the young men that I have the honor of leading.”
Domenic Giordano came up with the game-tying RBI in the bottom of the fifth, which was set up by Josh Celly’s double the hitter before. Tyler Manard came through the next inning, knocking home the go-ahead run that would make the difference.
Will McCafferty picked up the win on the mound after pitching three innings of relief and striking out five batters. Jared Paone got the start and went four innings, striking out nine.
Lynn Tech (5-3) plays Nashoba on the road Tuesday evening (5:30).
BASEBALL
St. Mary’s 8, Bishop Fenwick 2
Aiven Cabral led the offense for the Spartans in the win, going 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI. John Nowicki went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI, while Tommy Falasca (2-for-3) and Ryan Fraher (0-for-1) each had one RBI in the win.
Eric Bridges picked up the win on the mound for St. Mary’s, pitching a complete game and allowing two runs on three hits with four strikeouts.
St. Mary’s (8-4) plays on the road at Austin Prep Monday (3:30).
Dan Reddick and Bryce Leaman each had one RBI in the loss for the Crusaders.
Bishop Fenwick (4-8) travels to Matignon Saturday (12).

Brendan Smith launched a three-run home run to help lift the Tanners to a victory at Donohue Field Thursday.

The Witches avoided the shutout when Jack Doyle launched a solo home run in the top of the seventh.

Lynn Classical 11, Danvers 2
Manuela Lizardo (2-for-2, double) and Gianna Coito (2-for-4) each had three RBI to lead the way for the Rams, while Reese Brinkler (2-for-4, double), Nevaeh Eth (2-for-3) and Izzy Faessler (single, two runs scored) had one RBI each.
MeKayla Poisson went the distance to earn the win in the circle, allowing two runs on five hits with six strikeouts.

Ruby Callienes had a double and two RBI in the loss for the Magicians.

Jillian Kirby led the way for the Spartans with three goals and three assists, while Avery Laundry and Gabbi Oakes each had three goals and one assist. Kiara LoNigro, Chloe Puzzo and Kasey Litwin each had one goal and one assist in the win, while Molly Cummings, Hannah Coleman, Ava Nason and Maggie Pierce each scored one goal. Samira Krol and Caroline Nerich each notched two assists, while goalie Payton Quirk made six saves.
St. Mary’s (3-7) hosts Essex Tech Saturday morning (11).
Peabody 14, Winthrop 7
Behind five goals and two assists from Brooke Lomasney, the Tanners picked up a league win at Coley Lee Field.
Madi Barrett added three goals and two assists, while Lauren Woods had two goals and two assists. Siobhan Smith, Katie Amico, McKayla Fisher and McKenna Forni each scored one goal, while Caitlin Snow played a tremendous game in net. Kayla Landry, Addi Merrill and Abby Leonard all played well defensively in the win.
Peabody (7-2) hosts Saugus Monday (4:30).

Broghan Laundry’s five goals paced the offense for the Big Blue, while Angela D’Alelio had a solid day with three goals and one assist. Scarlett Ciciotti and Coco Clopton each had two goals and two assists, while Brooke Waters had two goals and one assist. Abby Eichler added one goal and three assists, Brooke Matela had one goal and one assist and Daniella Bliss scored one goal. Lily Johnson and Addie Wood each had one assist in the win.
Swampscott (6-2) travels to Masconomet Monday (4:30).
Saugus (2-11) travels to Peabody Monday (4:30).
Masconomet 13, Marblehead 11
Hadley Wales had four goals and one assist to lead the way for the Magicians in the loss, while Sydney Langton finished with three goals and one assist. Lucy Wales added one goal and two assists, while Gigi Lombardi, Ramona Gillett and Isabelle Ferrante each scored one goal. Goalie Kate Santeusanio notched 12 saves.

Singles wins for the Rams came from Kenzie McLaren (6-2, 6-2), Alyssa Raithel (6-3, 6-0) and Linda Jallow (6-3, 6-2). Classical also got doubles wins from the team of Khunnary Thatch and Jauselin Mensah (6-4, 6-2) and the team of Destiny Egbuta and Kyra Dominic (6-3, 6-2).

BOYS OUTDOOR TRACK
Revere 99, Medford 28
Ramadan Barry, Ricardo Goncalves and JV Cunha were all double-winners for the Patriots, with Barry taking the high jump (5-6) and the long jump (19-1), Goncalves winning the triple jump (36-11) and the 110 hurdles (15.9) and Cunha winning the 800 (2:09.4) and the one-mile (5:05). Other winners for Revere were Moe Hussein in the shot put (37-1), Tom Desir in the 400 hurdles (1:05.3), Mark Marchese in the 200 (23.4), Keny Guerrero in the 400 (53.2) and Kenan Batic in the two-mile (11:30.5).
Revere (3-0) travels to Chelsea Thursday (4).
Pentucket 92, Lynnfield 53
The Pioneers got wins from Dean Bey in the 400 hurdles (1:05.9), Joe Cucciniello in the triple jump (42-7) and Quinn Hardisty in the javelin (129-11), while the 4×100 relay team of Cucciniello, Anthony Attubato, Kyle Schmitz and Ethan Downey also took first (45.7) and qualified for states.
Two other Pioneers qualified for states on the day, with Attubato finishing second in the 200 (23.7) and Nickson Joseph finishing second in the high jump (6-0).
Lynnfield (1-4) hosts Ipswich Monday (3:30).
GIRLS OUTDOOR TRACK
Revere 78, Medford 31
Carolina Carvalho-Bettero was a triple-winner for Revere, taking first in the triple jump (30-9), the 110 hurdles (18.1) and the 400 hurdles (1:16.6). Kyra Delaney won both the 100 (13.4) and the 200 (27.7), while the Patriots also got wins from Liv Yuong in the high jump (4-8), Natalia Lopez in the shot put (22-11) and Gianna Mahoney in the javelin (69-5 1/2).
Revere (3-0) travels to Chelsea Thursday (4).
