REVERE — When two Lynn Jets score their first high school lacrosse goals, it’s not one you’re going to forget. Trey Rosetti and Alex Watermen each found twine, and Lynn’s boys lacrosse team dominated en route to a 13-2 road win against Revere.
“It was a great team effort. Offensively, we struggled a little bit in the first game, so we took a big step today,” head coach Peter Pappagianopoulos said.
Steven DiFilippo, frankly, made life miserable for the Patriots with five goals. Ryan Dunn dished out two assists to go with his hat-trick. Nick Costa scored twice and led Lynn in ground balls collected.
The do-it-all Jet received high praise from his head coach.
“He had a great game at the faceoff dot [and] did a lot of everything today,” Pappagianopoulos said.

TRACK AND FIELD
In a track meet against Chelsea, several Lady Bulldogs ran to impress in a 63-59 win. Coach Jackie Ramirez couldn’t have been happier after the meet.
“It was an awesome meet. The girls really put 110 percent out there and they’ve been working so hard,” Ramirez said. “Everything just came out as is.”
It certainly did. Victoria Samuel snagged first place in triple jump, second in long jump, and also impressed in the 100-meter dash. Madisen McHale caught eyes in the one mile, and was the anchor in the 4×400.
“Because of her, we won,” Ramirez said of the 4×400. “And they all had fun.”
The boys were edged by Chelsea 82-40, but still had some standouts. Josh Anderson recorded a 36′ 3 in triple jump, while Waleri Mora Cruz threw a 34′ 11 in shot put. Giovanni Batista ran the 100m in 12.2 seconds to lead English.
