You know what I’ve been thinking? Actually, it’s more of a fact that Brooke Lomasney loves putting on a show. For Peabody’s girls lacrosse team (7-4), it was an up-and-down week with a win against Lexington, and loss to Masconomet. What wasn’t up and down, however, were Lomasney’s performances.
In Peabody’s 15-11 win against Lexington, she recorded seven goals and two assists – involved in more than half of her team’s goals. Even in defeat three days later, Lomasney scored four goals while dishing out three assists.
All of those goal celebrations aside, she does more than that, securing two ground balls against Lexington and forcing a turnover in each game. Oh, and we haven’t even gotten to the best part of her week. One of her seven goals against Lexington was her 100th career goal, which gave her Peabody’s Player of the Game award that day.
Not a bad few days, huh? Brooke, good week.
