Two pedestrians were hurt in a motor vehicle collision that ground Market Street in Lynn to a standstill Wednesday evening, police said.
The pedestrians suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the collision, according to Lynn Police Lt. Rick Connick, a spokesman for the department. The crash touched off a significant emergency response on Market Street near Eastern Bank, and Connick said police were called to the area around 4:40 p.m.
An Item photographer saw two people being taken away on stretchers, as debris was strewn across the street.
