LYNN — The 3rd annual Members Photographic Exhibition hosted by the Greater Lynn Photographic Association will have its opening reception from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Demakes YMCA.
Larry Dunn, former President and current Director of Prints Competition and Exhibitions for the association said that this exhibition is open to the public, and is held to get people interested in photography.
“A lot of the photographers that have photographs in the exhibit will be there to talk about their work, photography in general, (and) answer any questions people might have about the organization of photography in general,” Dunn said.
The exhibition will feature work from 21 photographers that are a part of the photographic association.
“Photography records events. … Prints, in particular, are a way for people to keep memories,” Dunn said. “They’re on the wall, people can react with them, they can see them, they can take them with them, pass them around, make copies of them.”
The Exhibition will be open during YMCA operating hours until June 2.
