Lynn’s co-op swimming and diving team (English-Classical) put on a show at Revere’s Garfield Elementary School on Tuesday, escaping victorious, 86-66, against the Patriots.
“A great many good performances tonight,” said Lynn coach Denise Silva.
Leading the way with a win in the 200 medley relay were Kaydee Rouse, Amanda Hughes, David Gamero, and Solomon Srey. Lynn also went 1-3 in the 200 freestyle with Kelsey Sinapius leading the pack and Cate Bushway placing third.
Silva said the 200 individual medley was a “beautiful race,” which saw Rouse and Hughes finish 1-2, respectively. Darvon Kuffour placed first in the 50 freestyle, while Hurley Thelisma took second in the 100 fly.
The 100 freestyle saw Lynn sweep behind Rouse (1st), Jason Silva (2nd), and Srey (3rd). The 500 freestyle was won by Sinapius and saw Bushway finish second.
The 200 freestyle relay team of Rouse, Gamero, Mohamed Shehata, and Gerandry Gonzalez finished first, while the 100 breaststroke saw a 1-3 finish with Hughes finishing first and Madisen McHale touching in third.
Srey, Jason Silva, Gamero, and Hughes won the 400 freestyle relay.
“After the meet, both officials complimented our whole team on its sportsmanship and team camaraderie,” Denise Silva said. “So nice to hear that about our whole team.”
