Entering Lynn Tech’s game against Nashoba, Engelyz Bingham needed 27 points to etch her name into Lynn Tech’s basketball history. Bingham scored exactly 27 points to put her name in the record books in an all-star performance to beat Nashoba 60-18. Bingham joins her father, Corey Bingham, as 1,000 point scorers.
“We are so proud of Engy for all of her dedication and hard work that has gotten her to this point and cannot wait to see how she finishes off her career,” Tigers coach Kaitlyn Wechsler said. “She will forever leave a lasting legacy at Lynn Tech. Congratulations to her teammates as well who have all played a critical part in helping her reach this amazing milestone.”
Allison Morales scored 10 points and recorded eight steals, while Niya Bingham scored eight, and Liliana Sasso registered four points to help the Tigers move to 6-3 on the season.

The Pioneers, despite a double-double from senior captain Alex Fleming (22 points, 10 rebounds) suffered their first loss of the season, losing to the Clippers on the road. Senior Kelan Cardinal finished in double figures with 10 points, senior captain Zach Pincus finished with eight, and senior Madux Iovinelli finished with six.
Lynnfield (6-1) is back in action on Wednesday at Manchester-Essex for a 6:30 p.m. tip-off.

In a big showdown between Northeastern Conference rivals, Marblehead pulled off the big upset win over Gloucester.
Paige Waldman was on fire scoring a brace while Madi Reno scored the third goal to propel Marblehead past Gloucester.
SWIMMING AND DIVING

Bishop Fenwick 69
The Crusaders came up short against the Cardinals on Monday afternoon. Despite not winning the meet, Bishop Fenwick had two swimmers take home two first places in different races.
Senior captain Hannah Ryan qualified for sectionals with a 2:10.43 200-meter freestyle to claim first place. Ryan took home first in the 100-meter breaststroke with a time of 1:17.94.
Teammate and junior captain Caroline Blatchford took home first in the 200 IM 2:26.50. The time was good enough to qualify Blatchford for sectionals and states. Blatchford also placed first in the 100-meter butterfly with a 1:07.34.
