Assist Citizen

A walk-in report at 7:16 p.m. Thursday at the Public Safety Building on Hamilton Street. A man walked into the police station and reported that the residence he had occupied for approximately four years, located on Springdale Avenue, was deemed by MassSave to contain asbestos. He requested that the information be documented so he may present it to Senior Protection Services. Report taken.

Caller reported there were youths skating on her private pond, and they would not leave even after being asked to. She stated there were two kids on the scene. Peace restored.

A report of a motor vehicle leaving the scene of an accident at 12:38 a.m. Thursday on Lynn Fells Parkway. Caller reported her vehicle was struck, and the other party left the scene. There was no airbag deployment, but the caller had hand injuries. Removed to hospital; a report at 7:47 p.m. on Walnut Street. Caller reported they were struck by a car that crossed the double yellow line and continued on. Investigated.

A report of a suspicious motor vehicle at 2:05 a.m. Thursday at UPS Warehouse on the Salem Turnpike. Caller reported that she was security at UPS, and there was a male wearing a mask in a black vehicle that had driven by multiple times and asked about being able to pick something up. Services rendered. 

Neighborhood Dispute

A report of a neighborhood dispute at 3:52 a.m. Thursday on Bow Street. Caller reported that her neighbor had directed a spotlight or projector at her home. She was unsure if they were trying to see into her windows. The caller was advised that it is a light secured to the home, and police were unable to tell him to turn it off. Services rendered; a report at 6:43 a.m. on Charlotte Road. Caller reported her neighbor was blocking her front door with his vehicle. Officer reported the vehicle was parked legally. The owner moved it out of courtesy. Peace restored. 

Noise Complaint 

A report of a noise complaint at 2:23 a.m. Thursday on Essex Street. Caller reported that a noise was being played at a loud volume, causing a disturbance in the neighborhood. Peace restored; a report at 3:28 a.m. on Essex Street. Caller reported that soon after the police had cleared the initial call, the party had resumed. Music has been turned off for the night. Peace restored. 

Shoplifting

A report of shoplifting at 6:19 p.m. Thursday at Target on Lynn Fells Parkway. Loss prevention reported a shoplifting that accorded Dec 31, 2025, where $900 in merchandise was taken. The suspects left in a red Mercedes. Report taken; a report at 7:43 p.m. at Target on Lynn Fells Parkway. Caller reported a shoplifting and the suspect got into a gray Ford SUV. Arrest made.  

Suspicious Activity

A report of suspicious activity at 3:47 p.m. Thursday on Broadway. Caller reported that there was what she believed to be blood on the floor and smeared on the wall, along with the smell of alcohol. It appeared someone may have injured themselves. There were no signs of a crime occurring. Investigated, nothing found. 

Unwanted Party

A report of an unwanted party at 4:47 p.m. Thursday at Red Roof Inn on Broadway. Caller was a front desk employee and requested assistance with removing an unwanted party. Peace restored; a report at 7:18 p.m. at Red Roof Inn on Broadway. Caller reported an unwanted party in the lobby. Perpetrator’s gone on arrival.
