January 2, 2026 by Joey Barrett

Sometimes, schedules just line up for a can’t-miss game.

With wins Friday evening, the Bishop Fenwick (5-0) and St. Mary’s (7-0) girls basketball teams remained undefeated ahead of next Wednesday’s meeting between the Catholic Central League foes. Tip-off is slated for 6:30 p.m. in Peabody.

The dynamic duo did it again as Caitlin Boyle (18 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists) and Celia Neilson (11 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists) led visiting Fenwick against Tewksbury Memorial in a 45-34 final.

The Crusaders — helmed once again by coach Adam DeBaggis — led by just two points, 22-20, at halftime before a 17-5 third-quarter run.

As for St. Mary’s, coach Jeff Newhall and company took down Archbishop Williams 67-55 inside of the Tony C. Gymnasium in Lynn. Sysy Emmanuel (22 points), Charleigh Green (22), and Janae Holmes (15) did most of the damage.
