Thursday night’s game delivered all sorts of theatrics, but in the end, Lynn English’s boys basketball team (3-9) came up short against host Revere (4-10) 68-62 in double overtime.
English’s Isaac Yankey tied the game at the free-throw line with less than seven seconds on the clock (57-57). Josiah Peralta was also clutch with a corner triple in the final minutes.
But offensive rebounds hurt the Bulldogs in double overtime. Revere escaped with a six-point win in front of its home crowd.
English began the game with a 21-5 lead.
