BOSTON — Citing his unwavering support for working families and his record of fighting for fair wages, safe working conditions, and strong labor protections, Massachusetts Teamsters unanimously endorsed U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton’s candidacy for the United States Senate.
Teamster unions across Massachusetts, representing 20,000 union members and their families, praised Moulton for walking the picket lines and standing shoulder-to-shoulder with members during last year’s prolonged strike against Republic Services and always having the backs of workers.
“Congressman Moulton has never wavered in his support for our members and all working families in Massachusetts,” said Teamsters Local 25 President Thomas G. Mari, who also leads Teamsters Joint Council 10 that represents the local unions in New England. “When our members at Republic Services were on strike fighting for their jobs and the future of their families, Seth Moulton was right there with them every step of the way. Seth understands that good jobs, fair pay, and respect for working people are the foundation of a strong economy. Our members know that Seth Moulton will bring those values with him to the U.S. Senate.”
The endorsement includes local Teamsters unions from across Massachusetts, including Teamsters Local 25, which is the largest local union representing 13,000 members across greater Boston, and Teamsters Local 42, which represents workers on the North Shore and Cape Ann in Seth’s congressional district. The union’s endorsement comes as Moulton seeks to unseat incumbent Senator Ed Markey in the 2026 Democratic primary. Moulton was elected in 2014, representing Massachusetts’ Sixth Congressional District. Raised in Marblehead, Moulton attended Harvard University and is a proud military veteran, serving our nation during the Iraq War.
Rep. Moulton was endorsed in his campaign for the U.S. Senate by Teamsters Local 3 in Quincy, Teamsters Local 25 in Boston, Teamsters Local 42 in Lynnfield, Teamsters Local 59 in New Bedford, Teamsters Local 127 in Milford, Teamsters Local 170 in Worcester, Teamsters Local 404 in Springfield, and Teamsters Local 653 in South Easton.
With this endorsement, Massachusetts Teamsters reaffirmed their commitment to electing leaders like Rep. Moulton who fight for workers and protect collective bargaining rights across the Commonwealth.
