Despite a 23-point win over Pioneer Charter, 60-37, Lynn Classical’s halftime lead was just five points. The Lady Rams dominated the third quarter, 18-3, and didn’t look back. Jayliana Wesley and Divine Egbuta each finished with 14 points to lead the Rams, while Gianna Laft added seven.
With the win, the Rams qualified for the postseason.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
St. Mary’s 70
Bishop Fenwick 60
St. Mary’s (14-2) avenged an earlier-season loss to Bishop Fenwick (10-3) with a 70-60 victory at the Tony C. Gymnasium in Lynn.
The Spartans took a 39-30 lead into halftime after freshman McKenna O’Connell buried a deep 3-pointer at the buzzer.
In the second half, it was all Sysy Emmanuel, who came up clutch whenever Bishop Fenwick went on a run. The freshman poured in 30 points to fuel St. Mary’s.
Bishop Fenwick was led by Celia Neilson, who finished with 25 points and seven assists while scoring her 1,000th career point in the loss.

Academy of Notre Dame (Tyngsborough) 24
Led by Allison Morales’ 21 points, 10 rebounds and six steals, Lynn Tech improved to 8-4 on the season. Juliana Gerardo finished with 11 points, eight rebounds and six steals, while Jaylianniez Beauchamp added 10 points and eight steals.
Lynn Tech’s Mahlyna Williams controlled the glass with 17 rebounds.

Lynnfield 58
Lynnfield (11-3) couldn’t protect home court against Manchester-Essex. The Pioneers were led by Grant Neal with 18 points, followed by Oliver Harth with 11 and Justin Flores with 10.
Malden Catholic 58
St. John’s Prep 55
In a back-and-forth showdown, Malden Catholic edged the Eagles on the road. St. John’s Prep fell to 2-12 on the season.
Arlington Catholic 3

Despite leading 2-0 going into the third period, the Spartans couldn’t hold on as Arlington Catholic scored on two power play opportunities. Arlington Catholic later added a third late in the period to win on the road.
Finn Racki scored both goals for St. Mary’s and was assisted by Colton Carpenter, Evan Toto, and Aiden St. Pierre.
SWIMMING AND DIVING
Lynn Tech
The Tigers captured the Commonwealth Athletic Conference Large Division championship. The boys and girls teams competed separately, with scores combined to determine the overall winner.
The boys won with 535 points, followed by Greater Lawrence with 418. The girls finished second with 432 points, and the combined total secured the title for Lynn Tech.
In the 200 individual medley, Hunter Flores finished second, while Isaac Powers placed fourth. In diving, Johndeiry Batista took first, Terrance Chambers finished second and Amauri Bermudez placed third.
On the girls side, Addisyn Brown took first in diving and finished fifth in the 500 freestyle. Isabella Celona was second in the 100 butterfly, Yannie Ubaldo placed sixth in the 100 butterfly, and Ava-Marie Ranahan finished second in the 200 freestyle.
