Putting cherries on top of Senior Night celebrations, the Lynnfield and Saugus boys basketball teams earned dominant wins Tuesday.
The Pioneers (13-4, 9-4 Cape Ann League) put on a show in front of their home crowd, delivering a 40-point win (78-38) against Rockport. Grant Neal led the way with 16 points, while Luke DiSilvio added 10.
The Sachems (8-8) cruised to a 59-33 victory against Northeast Metro. Jordan Rodriguez (11 points) and Ryan Shea (10) reached double-figures. Huey Josama and Ryan Dupuy added nine apiece.
“It was a great team effort on Senior Night,” said Saugus head coach Joseph Bertrand.

The Sachems (6-11) recorded one of their strongest defensive performances of the season, limiting the Witches to just five points. Saugus hosts Peabody Thursday at 6 p.m. for a Northeastern Conference showdown.

The Crusaders’ offense couldn’t get going in Attleborough. Fenwick dropped to 12-5 ahead of Friday’s home game against Shrewsbury at 6:30 p.m.
