Lynn Tech’s boys basketball team (12-5) captured the Commonwealth Athletic Conference title with Friday’s 83-53 win against Lowell Catholic.
Andy Batista led all scorers with 30 points, also adding four rebounds and four assists. Brandon Antwine netted 20 points with five steals, while Giovanni Jean finished with 12 points, eight rebounds, and five assists. Ulices Diaz registered a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

The Sachems (10-8) won their final home game of the regular season and clinched a postseason berth. Huey Josama led the way with 30 points, while Ryan Shea (22) and Jordan Rodriguez (15) helped the cause.

The Spartans (18-2) picked up a strong win inside of the Tony C. Gymnasium. Roky Brea Arias netted 27 points on Senior Night.
Peabody 73
Nauset 64
After previously losing to Nauset in overtime, the Tanners got their revenge on enemy soil. Thad Broughton Jr. and Mark Mendonca each scored 22 points and dished out six assists. Jeremiah Agbonavbare (9 points, 3 rebounds) and Jeremiah Gerard (6 points, 5 rebounds) also played well.
“Nauset beat us earlier in the year, in overtime, in a great back-and-forth game. In this game, we showed some real growth as a team,” said Peabody coach Thad Broughton. “Mark and Thad hit some big shots today and they converted some key free throws down the stretch.”

The Lady Rams improved to 11-4 after taking care of business at home. Evelyn Diaz led Classical with 18 points, while Divine Egbuta (12) and Aliyah Alvarado (8) followed.

Gloucester 32
The Sachems earned a big Northeastern Conference road win in Gloucester. Saugus hosts Essex Tech Monday at 5:30 p.m. for its regular season finale.
TRACK AND FIELD
The Division 4 championships were held at The Track at New Balance in Boston, where St. Mary’s, Swampscott, and Bishop Fenwick competed.
In the girls’ mile, St. Mary’s Kelsey Kwiatek placed fifth (5:12.55), while Swampscott’s Annabelle Averett finished right behind in 5:13.05. For the boys, Swampscott’s Anthony Colella finished ninth in 4:35.09.
In the girls’ 2-mile, Kwiatek clocked second in 11:29.24, while Fenwick’s Marianna Kay (11:50.29) and Adelaide Sweatman (12:21.79) finished fifth and eighth, respectively, to earn points. On the boys’ side, Swampscott’s Simon Brown earned two points by placing seventh in 10:04.08.
St. Mary’s Lea Deronja finished fourth in the 300m (42:04). As for the 4x800m, Fenwick placed sixth thanks to runners Julia Davis, Olivia Rowe, Sweatman, and Kay.
Swampscott’s shot-put duo of Doyle Delano (45-9.5) and Benjamin White (45-9.25) placed fourth and fifth, respectively.
