Trailing by six points at halftime and four after three quarters, it was no problem for the Lady Rams.

Lynn Classical’s girls basketball team, in enemy territory, defeated Everett 48-39 Wednesday. Coach Tom Sawyer’s group outscored Everett 18-5 in the fourth quarter.

“A testament to never giving up,” he said. “I’m very proud of each player individually and the team as a whole with their coachability and growth throughout the season.”

Divine Egbuta led the way with 21 points and 36 rebounds, followed by Evelyn Diaz (9 points).

The Lady Rams finished the regular season 12-4 and 10-4 in the Greater Boston League. They await Saturday’s state tournament pairings (1 p.m.).

“So proud of the effort . . . ready for the tournament,” said Marblehead coach Paul Moran, whose Magicians finished the regular season 13-7.

The Spartans (10-9-2) put up a “fight to the final buzzer,” according to coach Matthew Smith, but couldn’t find an equalizer in the Cardinal Classic championship. JJ Avery (goal) and Aiden St. Pierre (assist) led the way, while Avery and Matthew Boyer received All-Tournament Team honors.

Despite a goal from Teddy Dulac, set up by Holden Ferreira and Hayden Gallo, the Headers met their match at Graf Rink in Newburyport. Marblehead’s Bowden Laramie recorded 24 saves.

Behind goals from Ryan Finkle, Chase Brown, Brennan Waters, and Logan Daigle, the Eagles (15-3-2) blanked Andover on home ice.
