LYNN

Arrests

Matthew Daffe, 37, of Sumner Road (Salem), was arrested at 12:44 a.m. Tuesday, on charges of drug possession, false identification information, and a straight warrant. He has two warrants of $1,200+ destruction of property and burning a building. 

Franklin Evangelista Perez, 47, of Warren Street, was arrested at 12:51 p.m. Tuesday for distribution of drugs. 

Deandre Nwaford, 35, was arrested at 12:15 a.m. Tuesday for trespassing, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, false identification information and two straight warrants. Nwaford has a warrant charge for possession of drugs, trafficking heroin/morphine/opium, and assault and battery.

Reports of alarms at 12:18 a.m. Tuesday at the Lynn Vocational Tech School on Neptune Boulevard, 2:21 a.m. on Baker Street, 2:25 a.m. on Lynnfield Street, 5:59 a.m. on Oakville Street, 6:01 a.m. at the Fecteau Leary Middle School on North Common Street, 9:25 a.m. on Williams Avenue, 12:45 p.m. on Broadway Street, 2:17 p.m. on Commercial Street, 3:58 p.m. on Essex Street, 5:14 p.m. on Linden Street, 7:29 a.m. on Hanover Street, and 10:40 a.m. on Western Avenue. 

Con/Scam

A report of a con/scam at 11:46 p.m. Tuesday on Boston Street. 

Disturbances

Reports of disturbances at 6 p.m.Tuesday on Chatham Street and 10:10 p.m. on Atlantic Street.

Hazardous Condition 

Reports of hazardous conditions at 7:04 a.m. on Fortesque Terrace, 4:24 p.m. on Bay View Avenue, and 4:48 p.m. on Grover Street and Hamilton Avenue. 

Larcenies

Arrest

Alexander Powe III, a 17-and-over male, of Newhall Avenue, was arrested at 12:56 p.m. for charges of indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or over and assault and battery. 

Alarms

A report of a burglar alarm at 12:45 a.m. Tuesday at DSW on Broadway. Building appeared to be secure; a report at 10:53 a.m. at Eastern Bank ATM on Main Street. No police service necessary. 

Assault

A report of an assault at 12:56 p.m. Tuesday on Newhall Avenue. Caller reported that her neighbor across the hall touched her inappropriately. Arrest of a 17-and-over male.

Disturbance

A report of a disturbance at 7:13 a.m. Tuesday at McGarvey Towing on Bennett Highway. Peace restored. 

Hazardous Road Condition

A report of a hazardous road condition at 5:07 p.m. Tuesday on Hamilton Street. Callers reported bad road conditions and cars sliding down the hills. Services rendered. 

Motor Vehicles

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 3:46 p.m. Tuesday on Spring Street. Caller reported a two-car accident. Services rendered; a report at 4:58 p.m. on Lynn Fells Parkway. Officer reported cars passing by that reported a car off the street. Referred to other agency; a report at 5:12 p.m. at Kane’s Donuts on Lincoln Avenue. Caller reported a two-car accident with no injuries. Report taken.

Shoplifting

A report of shoplifting at 7:32 p.m. Tuesday at Marshall’s on Broadway. Loss prevention reported a shoplifter left the store. Report taken. 

Suspicious Activity

A report of suspicious activity at 2:13 p.m. Tuesday at Kid Cuts and Fun on Ballard Street. Caller reported a child who appeared to be lost. The aunt showed up and stated that the child got out of the house. Services rendered. 

Threats

A report of threats at 8:47 p.m. Tuesday at Target on Lynn Fells Parkway. A man walked into the station and reported that his cousin had vandalized a skid steer he used for plowing at the parking lot. Report taken.
