LYNN — The City announced on Thursday that Andrew Hall, commissioner of the Department of Public Works, will be resigning from his position effective Friday, March 27.
Mayor Jared C. Nicholson expressed his appreciation for Hall’s service to the City.
“On behalf of the City of Lynn, I want to thank Andy for his 12 years of dedicated service as commissioner of Public Works,” said Nicholson. “We wish him the very best in his future endeavors and appreciate his continued commitment to serving our community.”
The City will begin the search for a new commissioner of Public Works in the coming days. In the interim, Nicholson has designated Michael Donovan, the City’s current director of Capital Projects, to serve as interim commissioner of Public Works, effective March 28.
In addition to his current role, Donovan previously served as the City of Lynn’s DPW commissioner from 1999 to 2004 and brings extensive experience and institutional knowledge to the position.
