PEABODY — Bishop Fenwick High School freshman and Peabody resident Madelyn McMillan has been named as the recipient of the Fenwick FIRST award.

Bishop Fenwick noted that McMillan, a graduate of St. Mary’s of the Annunciation School in Danvers, exemplifies the core values that define the Bishop Fenwick community: faith, integrity, relationship, scholarship, and tradition.

“Madelyn is one of the nicest and friendliest people I know, making her always a pleasure to be around,” her nomination reads. “She was captain of the JV volleyball and JV basketball teams. She earned the Principal’s list both quarters, and her teachers respect her diligence and motivation. She always shows leadership and has a bright smile on her face. She is (a) good influence on so many of us, and she represents our Fenwick Family so incredibly well.”
