LYNN — Denys Gonzalez Hernandez of Lynn has pleaded guilty to both drug trafficking and firearm charges.
Gonzalez Hernandez was arrested in February of last year after his apartment in Lynn, which he shared with his alleged co-conspirator, Lexus Perez, was searched and allegedly revealed two loaded firearms, 465 grams of fentanyl, 34 grams of cocaine base (also known as crack cocaine), and 21 grams of methamphetamine, which were seized. During a search of his person, it was found that Gonzalez Hernandez had 16 baggies of cocaine and two baggies of fentanyl inside his sock.
According to Lynn police log records from last March, Hernandez Gonzalez was also arrested for charges of being a fugitive from justice in court and trespassing.
The charges he has now pleaded guilty to include possession with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl, 28 grams or more of cocaine base and methamphetamine, which carries a sentence of at least 10 years and up to life in prison, at least five years and up to a lifetime supervised release, and a fine of $10 million.
The charge of possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking carries a sentence of at least five years consecutive to any other term of imprisonment.
Sentencing has been scheduled for June 25, 2026 by U.S. District Court Judge Leo T. Sorokin.
