LYNNFIELD — Residents headed to the polls Tuesday to cast their votes in this year’s Lynnfield town election, with Joe Gallagher, Brian Lambert, and Page Wilkins winning their races.

Town Clerk Stephanie Jarosz announced the unofficial results of the election at the Tuesday night Select Board meeting.

For the Select Board, Gallagher won with 1,086 votes against incumbent Phil Crawford, who received 842 votes.

For the School Committee, Lambert won with 999 votes against Jillian String, who received 928 votes.

For the Planning Board, incumbent and current Chair Wilkins won with 1,346 votes against Gregory Antonelli, who received 544 votes.

Before Jarosz swore in the candidates, Crawford thanked the town, the Board, and his wife and children for allowing him to serve the town for 13 years.

“I just want to say it was an honor and a privilege… And I want to thank all the residents because I think the mark of someone that’s in a position like this is how you leave the town. I feel like I’ve left this town in a much better condition than what I found, so I want to thank you all,” Crawford said.

After the swearing in, Alexis Leahy, who was serving as vice chair, was named chair, and Dick Dalton, who was serving as clerk, was named vice chair. Gallagher was named clerk for the Board.

“I’m just pleased with the voter turnout we had tonight. I’m pleased with the number of people from Lynnfield who came out to vote. It shows really strong engagement in the community, and I’m pleased with the results. I look forward to helping the School Committee and the town going forward,” Lambert said.

“I feel really excited. Again, I want to thank the Crawfords for running a clean campaign, and I really look forward to working with this team and getting started,” Gallagher said.
