Spring Cleanup scheduled in Peabody

Amanda Lurey

April 14, 2026 by Amanda Lurey

PEABODY — The annual Peabody Pride Spring Cleanup has been slated for Saturday, May 2.

Mayor Ted Bettencourt said that volunteers are invited to pick up free cleaning supplies at City Hall beginning at 10 a.m. before fanning out to targeted areas throughout Peabody.

“This year’s Spring Cleanup continues our community tradition of bringing residents together to care for the neighborhoods we all share,” Bettencourt said. “It’s a simple but meaningful way to show pride in our city and help keep Peabody looking its best.”

Anyone who cannot attend can still participate. The mayor encourages those who may be unavailable on May 2 to choose an area of the city “that needs some TLC” and collect litter and debris in trash bags. Those people can then contact the mayor’s community cleanup hotline at 978-538-5700 or email [email protected] with the location of the bags, and Department of Public Services personnel will come retrieve them.
