LTTE: Support Dooley and Patsios for Select Board

To the editor

April 20, 2026 by To the editor

To my fellow residents of Swampscott,

On Tuesday, April 28 we have an election where choosing the right combination of candidates to our highest governing board in town is paramount.

I’m writing to express my strong support for Ted Dooley and Charlie Patsios as candidates for Select Board in our town.

Ted Dooley brings a thoughtful, steady approach to local leadership. He understands the importance of balancing fiscal responsibility with the needs of our community, and he consistently demonstrates a willingness to listen, engage, and make informed decisions. His commitment to transparency and long-term planning makes him a dependable voice for Swampscott’s future.

Charlie Patsios offers the kind of energy and practical perspective that our Select Board needs. He has shown a deep investment in the town and a clear desire to ensure that Swampscott remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family. His ability to connect with residents and focus on real, workable solutions sets him apart.

Together, Ted and Charlie represent a strong combination of experience, integrity, and forward-thinking leadership. They are beholden to no one and both committed to preserving what makes Swampscott special while responsibly guiding it through growth and change.

I encourage you to join me in voting for Ted Dooley and Charlie Patsios for Select Board on April 28.

Sincerely,

Matt Strauss

Former Chairman of the Swampscott Select Board
