To the editor:
Please vote for my good friend Ted Dooley for Select Board. Ted and his wife Nicole moved to Swampscott nearly eight years ago and have since grown into a family of four. I met Ted and Nicole shortly after they arrived, and we became friends almost immediately.
I’ve served with Ted on the Board of the Swampscott Yacht Club for two separate terms. I admire his candor, his willingness to step up as a leader, and his ability to take ideas and turn them into action. Just as importantly, Ted follows through and sees things to completion.
As a community member, Ted is trustworthy, rational, and a natural mediator. He doesn’t “take the bait” or make rash, unpredictable decisions or comments—qualities that are especially important in local leadership.
As a friend, we have welcomed his family into ours. Ted and Nicole are truly some of the kindest, friendliest, smartest, and most welcoming people our family has been fortunate to know.
Please vote for Ted on April 28th. He will help maintain a Select Board that operates as a team, respects differing viewpoints, and works together to put the goals of our town first.
