Flavia Torres, a member of Lynnfield's Summer Street School kitchen staff, ran Monday's Boston Marathon and finished in 5:12:40. Torres, pictured with two SSS students, raised more than $22,000 for the Heather Abbott Foundation, which helps provide customized prostheses to those who have suffered limb loss through traumatic circumstances. Joey Barrett is the Daily Item's Sports Editor. He reports on local high schools, colleges, and professional teams.
