LYNN — More than 100 families gathered at Gregg Neighborhood House on Saturday for a Summer Kickoff Family Engagement Event filled with fun activities, entertainment, and valuable family resources.
The free event was designed to bring Gregg House families together to celebrate the start of summer while strengthening connections between families, staff, and local support organizations.
Children enjoyed face painting, bubbles, water relays, limbo, arts and crafts, and live music from Peter the Music Guy. Gregg House provided complimentary hot dogs, chips, and juice, and every family was treated to free ice cream from the Cuckie’s Ice Cream Truck.
In addition to the festivities, families had the opportunity to learn about programs and services available throughout the region from several participating organizations, including Raising a Reader, My Moody Monster, the Lynn CALM Team, Regulate Yours, ASPIRE, Lynn Community Connections Coalition, Constellations Kids, Northeast Arc, Commonwealth Preschool Partnership Initiative, Lynn Family Resource Center, and the Lynn Public Library.
“Family engagement is an important part of what we do at Gregg House,” said Frantzie Kebreau, Director of Social Services. “This event gave families an opportunity to spend quality time together, connect with one another, and learn about resources that can support their children and families throughout the year.”
The event reflects Gregg House’s commitment to supporting the whole family through high-quality early education, school-age programming, family support services, and meaningful opportunities for engagement.
For more than 120 years, Gregg Neighborhood House has served children and families in Lynn, helping create strong foundations for learning, growth, and success.
The Summer Kickoff was filled with laughter, music, and smiling faces, providing a memorable start to the season for Gregg House families.
