LYNN — Former Daily Item sports and news editor Paul Halloran will be at the Lynn Museum and Arts Center (590 Washington St.) on Wednesday, June 24 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. to discuss and sign his new book, “Cody’s Wish: A Boy, a Racehorse and a Fight for Life.”
‘Cody’s Wish,’ which hit shelves last month, tells the inspiring true story of the bond between a boy with Wolf‑Hirschhorn syndrome and the racehorse named after him. The book highlights the myriad of medical maladies Cody faced as well as the championship career of Cody’s Wish, who was named 2023 North American Horse of the Year.
Halloran launched his book tour with several events in Kentucky in May. He also had a signing at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in Saratoga Springs, NY, on June 7, before the Belmont Stakes. Halloran said he is looking forward to the Lynn Museum event.
“I’ve spent my entire professional career a few blocks from the Museum,” said Halloran, who has worked in public relations for the last 26 years after 15 years at The Item. “I heard from many friends who asked about a Lynn event and I’m really pleased to have the opportunity to share the story in the city where I have lived and worked for so long.”
Books will be available to buy and can also be purchased in advance at codyswishbook.com
