LYNN — Rabbi Margie Klein Ronkin has been selected as one of ten women nationwide for The Elluminate Collective, a fellowship for visionary Jewish nonprofit leaders.
As Executive Director of Essex County Community Organization (ECCO), Rabbi Klein Ronkin leads a multifaith network of 59 congregations, community groups, and the North Shore Labor Council, bringing people together across lines of race, class, and faith to tackle the root causes of injustice. Under her leadership, ECCO has helped win state and local victories that expand protections for immigrant families, increase funding for affordable housing, and advance community-based safety initiatives such as Lynn’s unarmed crisis response team. In recognition of her selection to The Collective, ECCO will receive a $20,000 grant in June 2027.
“I am honored to be selected as an Elluminate Fellow and excited to learn from extraordinary women leaders,” said Rabbi Klein Ronkin. “I hope to bring the wisdom and inspiration I gain through the fellowship back to the North Shore to strengthen our work for justice.”
As a participant in The Collective’s eighth cohort, Rabbi Klein Ronkin joins nine other women dedicated to advancing a more just and equitable society. Cohort participants were chosen through a highly competitive selection process led by Elluminate’s Visionary Circle and Board of Directors. Selection criteria included demonstrated leadership, commitment to Jewish values, and a track record of advancing social impact.
“We are honored to welcome these extraordinary leaders into The Collective,” said Melanie Roth Gorelick, CEO of Elluminate. “Their work reflects the power of women leaders to address complex challenges, strengthen communities, and create meaningful social change. As we continue to grow our Global Jewish Women’s Leadership Network, we are proud to invest in leaders whose vision, courage, and commitment are shaping a stronger future for us all.”
Elluminate invests in Jewish women leaders and philanthropists through funding, community, and leadership development to drive lasting, global systemic change. The Collective welcomes Rabbi Klein Ronkin, along with Shana Aaronson, Naomi Ackerman, Yael Boim-Fein, Andrea Friedman, Yael Hasson, Jaimie Krass, Meredith Polsky, Judith Rosenbaum, and Shelly Blatt Zak.
